Today I really have to give a big shout out to the Dutch traffic - TopicsExpress

Today I really have to give a big shout out to the Dutch traffic authorities! I have to thank you for the tremendous job you did on turning my simple way to work (30 minutes both ways) into a 2 1/2 hour lasting unforgettable city tour through Breda. You showed the world your outstanding competency in redirecting traffic once more. Without you I would never have gotten to see and experience the most wonderful hidden areas of the city. All the beautiful houses in the outskirts of Breda, the impressive architectural achievements the Dutch have made over the past decades and the beautiful circle around the city center, where I was allowed to breath in the fresh and clean air blown out by the rich variety of German, Japanese, Scandinavian and lots of other cars build by automobile entrepreneurs! The insight few into the multicultural lifestyle of the indigenous tribe referred to as construction workers was enlightening and will stick with me for the rest of my life, what a incredible experience. The group of Indians who blocked the road in obviously tried to help me find the right way by leading me through the streets of Breda with a speed of 5 km/h where a wonderful guidance. BUT my personal highlight were the friendly smiling policemen in their yellow uniforms dancing over various intersections (apparently performing some traditional rain dance, which unfortunately didnt seem to be successful as the sun was still shinning) while whistling happy little songs into my ears and waving me towards the direction of the next incredible touristic attraction this rich and beautiful city has to offer. It was a absolute joy! This great experience will enrich my life in so many different ways concluding with the big lesson I learned to day: fix your bike and leave your god damn car at home (especially if there is a weird bike race throughout the city)! Thank you Breda, I couldnt think of a more wonderful way to spend my time after work!
