Today I received a package from Washington state. I thought it was a care package of Miras probiotics- but it actually was a box of Sherries Berries sent to me as a get well gift from friends in Cave Creek. Since I have no appetite, especially for sweets, Ive been giving the berries away to nurses and other personnel who have demonstrated going the distance for me above and beyond their work requirements. Two of the therapists were absolutely touched, and the other three that have been given away go to daughters of Darius. Darius has taught me the ropes and suffered his own car accident, story of woe. A drunk driver hit him causing him to have brain injuries and changing his occupation from an aerospace industrial engineer to a hospital assistant. He also gets a kick out of my story- being run over... by a woman who claimed to love me...
