Today I say goodbye to my Tabitha Zoe, who passed away last night at about 10:45 pm from heart failure. Tabby first came to me as an uncared for, but owned, older kitten in the summer of 2001. She always seemed ravenously hungry, and so I fed her despite the owners claims that she takes care of her cat. The following summer Tabby showed up without a collar and pregnant, likely abandoned, and hungry of course. Following her, one day after she appeared not pregnant anymore revealed three newborn kittens under a bush next to an apartment building. And so, my cat family grew with Tabby, the three kittens, and the likely father, Trotter. Tabby was a great mom, very protective of her kittens, including one I still have named Selena. One liter was enough and she was spayed soon after. I loved my TZ big time, was blessed to have cared for her for over 12 years, and will miss her a lot. Love you sweet girl! ♥
