Today I turn 61 years old! Just the fact that I am alive today makes this a very happy birthday for me. Thank you, Jesus, for allowing me to live to see this day. Tears flood my eyes as I recall the physical struggles God has taken me through, especially the sicknesses and hospitalizations of 1980, 1996, and 2003. But Im still here! Hallelujah! Im still here! I thank God for saving me when I was eight years old. I thank God that my mother is still alive and is doing well. I thank God for my sons, my grandchildren, my siblings, my extended family on both the Kearns and Jackson sides, my friends, my former students and co-workers. I am so glad for Facebook which keeps me connected to everyone. September 1, 2014.
