Today, I was convinced Amnesty International is not color-blind nor religion-neutral. It is a mere tool for percieved dominant-culture to exercise power over perceived different societies and their values. It is a further illustration of moral bankruptcy of the set of values it lectures everyone to follow but failing miserably to live to them, even half-heartedly. Case in point, the way they treated crimes against humanity in Egypt as compared to the outcry and noise about Taksim square abuses in Turkey. Abusing one human is one too many, but coverage and outcry should be proportional, and principled. AI failed monstrously in both measures. If you believe they are neutral on their coverage, then you might believe in what the Egyptian media is so pathetically and stupidly manufacturing, and you might well believe in the parking in the Red sea.
