Today, I was reading that Nigerias power generation dropped again - TopicsExpress

Today, I was reading that Nigerias power generation dropped again to under 3,000 MW. As a matter of fact, they said it has plunged to 2,880 MW. Few weeks ago, Nebo the Power Minister was saying it dropped by 1,000MW. I stopped reading the piece after the first paragraph. This is nonsense. And all Nigerian leaders, from the lackey we call president to the comedians we call governors to the gate-climbing asinrins we call legislators, they are all rogues. How can a nation speeding towards 200 million people be living on less than 3,000MW? How does that even make any sense? Okay, lets go to Germany so you can properly see how USELESS our leaders are, from APC to PDP. As you are reading this, Germans generate over 30,000MW of electricity from WIND. That is around 9% of the total energy generated in Germany. Thats the German Chancellor Angela Merkel looking out of an aircraft inspecting the offshore wind turbines, she wants to more than triple the share of renewables in Germany’s power mix by 2050. In fact, the wind industry ALONE generates 170,000 jobs for Germans, that is the wind sector ALONE o and Jonathan will be blowing useless lies that he has created 100 million jobs. And when he finishes blowing his useless lies, he will fly to Wiesbaden, a German city, for treatment and when he returns to Nigeria, he is taken back to Aso Rock in shiny BMWs and Mercedes-Benzes all MADE IN GERMANY. There are over 23,000 wind turbines located all over the Federal Republic of Germany, highest number in the world. Nigeria does not have ONE. So who is stopping Fashola, Aregbe and other other APC governors making noise all over the place from building their own wind farms? Is it also Jonathan? As at June 2014, 628 MW of offshore wind capacity was being connected to the grid in Germany. By 2030, a capacity of 15,000 MW is to be connected to the grid according to the plans of the Federal Government. Some of these German turbines are not even located on land but in the middle of the sea, and in case you dont know, all the German wind turbines located on WATER ALONE generate more electricity than all of Nigeria at the moment . Renewable energy is serious business in Germany and across the globe. Look at this: Press release by Global Wind Energy Council: The Global Wind Energy Council and Greenpeace International released the 2014 edition of the Global Wind Energy Outlook in Beijing and the report shows that wind power could reach 2,000 GW by 2030, and supply up to 17-19% of global electricity, creating over 2 million new jobs and reducing CO2 emissions by more than 3 billion tonnes per year. By 2050, wind power could provide 25-30% of global electricity supply. Is Nigeria planning to be a part of this? NO. What does Germany have that we dont? Germany is a federal republic, so is Nigeria. Their population is 80 million, we are speeding towards 200 million. Their area is 357,168 km2, ours is 923,768 km2. They have wind, we have more wind. They are the most populous in Europe, we are the most populous in Africa. They have their Albert Einstein, we have our Wole Soyinka. They dont have crude oil but we have 10th largest proven reserves. So what is wrong with us? And before some pompous Nigerian men will start making mouth, this same Germany is led by a woman. So what is wrong with us? Less than 3,000MW? For all of Nigeria? Under Bola Ige in 1999, it was still less than 3,000 MW so what is Jonathan transforming? I just cant deal. And then you see Patience Jonathan returning from Germany where she went for surgery and you hear her blabbing about how she woke up from the dead and all sorts of nonsense. At such times, you dont even have to bother to switch off the TV, just wait a few minutes, NEPA will take the light on their own. Nigerian youths, form your own party no matter who wins next Valentines Day. And by the way, enjoy this: https://youtube/watch?v=Nlf6tI_p_l8
