Today I went to pick my son up from school. He came outside with no jacket on. I asked him where was his jacket, he proceeded to tell me that his teacher took it from him and the teacher told him that his parent has to come in to pick it up. His jacket was taken away from him because of the uniform policy(understandable). I get out of the car and go into the school. I speak with the secretary, then return back to the car to get my child so he can tell the secretary what the jacket looks like. When Mallik reaches the front door, he has 3 teachers talking to him all at the same time, so he gets irritated. When I walk up I said, he is with his mother. We are trying to get his jacket. The gentlemen says, well thats all he had to say because we have a security policy here. We then walk into the front door and another teacher yells out WE HAVE A SECURITY POLICY HERE!! I say, I heard it the first time, there is no need for you to yell. Malik and I go to the office and wait for someone to open up a classroom to get his jacket and the same teacher that yelled walked into the office. I said, Excuse me, what is your name? She ignored me. Mind you, shes only standing a couple feet away from me. I repeated myself and she then tells me her name with a nasty attitude and then has the AUDACITY to say, do you want me to spell it for you!! I said excuse me, she repeated herself... After looking down at my badge, she noticed that it said Springfield Public Schools. She then tried to change her tone. TO LATE!! I said you are not suppose to talk to a parent that way. You will be hearing from downtown!! Now, If she talks to a parent that way, how is she talking to the students? I had to catch myself!! Oh Lord!! FB, God has been very good with me and has changed me in SO MANY WAYS, because the old Kim would have torn that hoe a new one!!!
