Today , I would like to thank my father ,Sgt. Travis Ferguson, a veteran of World War 2, for his service in the United States Army. He served his country honorably from September 22,1943 to April 14, 1949. He was with the Seventh Battalion, 15th Field AV.4. He was taken P.O.W. by the Germans, December 15, 1944. He was held prisoner for about 3 years. He was awarded the Purple Heart, 3 Bronze Stars, Three Com. Stars,Infantry Com. Badge, and a Presidents Citation. During his lifetime my father never filed for a Veterans Administration disability benefits.
