Today Im thinking about some dear friends who once met with me years ago. We put many scriptures to music and sang them. I am singing some of them right now. What a wonderful memory. Good friends, good music, great lyrics, and the presence of Gods Spirit. Rich fellowship. Several of those dear ones are in heaven now. Others have moved around the country. One is a doctor, one is a preacher, one is a rancher/Bible teacher, and I think all are grandparents now. Such is the movement of time. What we do today may not seem like very important, but listen, those pebbles of activity are still sending waves across the world. God let us sing our own music in a number of venues, also, a number of churches have used some of our music in worship, several great singers have used it on special occasions, and all of us have retained the message and melodies of Gods word in our hearts. See how tiny acts of worship and service keep on working long after they began? Its sort of like Gods creative acts in the beginning, and look, here we are today—grandchildren and all. Thinking led to memories from over forty years ago, and that led to giving thanks to God today. Kind of cool the way God works. Have a wonderful day, my friends. Im about finished with thinking now. Time to tackle some mindless labor, like dusting and vacuuming, and washing blankets, and, and, and ... but Ill sing the whole time. You can count on that.
