Beside, Gallica has many other vintage astronomy books and papers available for download. and in 1908 The corona of the Sun was photographed for the first time (not during a TSE). and in 1944 Hergé, with his famous Adventures of TINTIN (Kuifje) published his book Prisoners of the Sun in 1949. The Total Solar Eclipse described in this book is the one in South America on January 25, 1944.
