Today Jesus wants someone reading this to go deeper in the faith. His words in Matthew 13:20-21 talks of a type of believer who rejoices in the word of God only for a season, but when the time comes to apply the word to their daily living they and face the furnace of persecution they flee in ten ways to do things their own way. This is a shallow believer. God wants you to know rejoicing and delighting in His words is great but it wont last if you have the stony heart Jesus was talking about in the above scripture. The solution is this; sow for yourselves righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow (hard) ground: for it is time to seek the Lord, till He comes and rain righteousness upon you. Hoses 10:12. So folks dont only rejoice in Gods word, give it access to your heart and watch Jesus melt that stony heart and cause you to do His will day after day. Good morning!!
