Today, Karl Hinett and Chris Gwilt, members of our 2012 Everest team, are off to Chamonix again to prepare for their final attempt on the Matterhorn in Zermatt. Conditions have been unusual in the Alps this year and snow has prevented their attempts over the past few months.. but has increased their training. Karl today commented: Having just arrived back into Chamonix today after almost six weeks from our last visit, it looks like conditions may finally be in our favour. I got married this weekend to my lovely partner Beth, and even though the jokes of going on my own private honeymoon are only just subsiding, she’s been very supportive about the Edison Matterhorn Challenge, and we will look forward to our own plans for a more normal honeymooning together later on next month! Watch this space for news as we send as much back as possible, hopefully from the summit! And a huge thank you to Edison for making this possible for us.
