Today, Serenity HospiceCare celebrated our 25TH YEAR of providing compassionate, end-of-life care to patients and their families! We were honored to have join us at todays festivities: State Representative Linda Black; Dan Hutton, Legislative Director for Senator Gary Romines office; and Donna Hickman, who represented Congressman Jason Smith. Each one of the three read aloud a Missouri State Resolution prepared especially to commemorate the milestone. Opening todays ceremony was Shelley Layton, Executive Director, who spoke about Serenitys amazing staff, as well as Gods Hand in Serenitys success. Cara Detring, President of Serenitys Board of Directors, and Fred McDaniel, former Executive Director, shared a bit of history and personal highlights relating to the past quarter-century at Serenity. Serenity volunteers, board members, and local media representatives also joined staff members for the ceremony. It was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the past while also looking toward the future, said Shelley Layton. We are certainly a blessed organization. Serenity HospiceCare would like to thank everyone whos ever supported the organization in any way. Because of your devotion, people in our community and their families have been blessed. No matter the size of your contribution, you have been a part of something that has certainly made our world a better place. THANK YOU!
