Today Thursday 11th September 2014 we had SKIKA NATIONAL YOUTH CONSULTATIONS under the theme ‘Silencing the Guns: Kenyan Youth Building a Culture of Democracy and Peace’ as from 9.00 am-1.00 pm in Nairobi. Kenya. We had a successful consultation and recommendation for the Youth Pre-Forum to the Third Annual High Level Dialogue on Democracy, Human Rights and Governance in Africa: Trends, Challenges, Opportunities and Prospects which will focus on the theme – ‘Silencing the Guns: Strengthening Governance to Prevent, Manage and Resolve Conflicts in Africa’.That is scheduled to be September 15 – 17, 2014 at Safari Park Hotel, Nairobi, Kenya The Pre-Forum is jointly convened by the Africa Governance Architecture and Platform of the African Union and the African Union Youth Division. The Pre-Forum is supported by United Nations Development Programme and GIZ.
