Today a gentleman in a wheelchair came into my store. He was an amputee of one leg with lots of major scars on his hands and arms. He handed me a very mangled wedding ring, that must have been cut off of his hand, and tearfully asked if there was any way we could fix or remake the ring...he did not care what the cost. He had been in a motorcycle accident with his wife in May...she lost her life. He commented that we had fixed another ring for him about a year ago and felt that he could trust us to fix his wedding ring. After he left my manager said, in a very sad voice, I remember when he walked in the last time to have his other ring fixed If the jeweler that I work with cannot fix it I will, personally, find someone who can. This man has such a beautiful outlook on life even though he has lost so much!
