Today as I was getting into my car that was in the garage, a familiar smell greeted me. The people who are renovating our bathroom left some lumber in the garage. They had cut it and used it to support a joist. That wonderful smell of wood and sawdust reminded me so much of my dad and all the times I visited him in his wood workshop at their home in Ohio. It was a good memory. I think if there was such a thing, my dad would have used sawdust aftershave!
