Today at the lookout mountain 50 miler was not the race that I planed on. But thats just how the sport of ultra running goes. I was in 3rd place well into the race until after a fall at mile 26 place in which I landed on my hip (causing me to slow my pace) then at mile 30 in 4th I took a spill that resulted in me having to withdraw from the race due to a injured back. Its a very discouraging day for me, especially being so close to the result I wanted. But I am in positive attitude. My injury could have been a lot worse. After a doctors visit and a week of rest, I will be back in training for the Mt cheaha 50k in Alabama. I just want to say thank you to all those that support me and cheer me on. I love you all.
