Today despite the delay in our ferry service to Ketchikan, everything worked out perfectly, to the minute! It seemed that everything was working against us, but for me, it was excellent! As soon as the ferry landed I got off and caught a cab to the mechanics to get my car. I drove right to the airport ferry (to pick up Lare) and had to wait only 5 minutes. While waiting to get on the airport ferry the jet landed and we took off right after that. By the time I got to the booth where you pay the passengers were starting to pick up their luggage. At the moment I got to the terminal doors where the luggage was being dispensed, Lare was there waiting for one more bag, so I was able to immediately pick him up and load everything in my car, get back on the ferry and head to Ketchikan and lunch! Now were home and he is enjoying a documentary on China with his feet up and poor arm resting on a nice big pillow. I feel so much better with me being able to take care of him as he begins his recovery!
