Today has been Green Day day. First I listened to the entire Broadway cast album of American Idiot. As I listened to the last 12 minutes, I looked up Billie Joe Armstrong on Wikipedia. Then I listened to Dookie, their breakthrough album, while I went to read about Mike Dirnt and Tre Cool and then the entry about Green Day itself. Somewhere along the way I started listening to 21st Century Breakdown. Its a LONG album! While I listen to the last 10 minutes of the album, I looked up Billie Joe on IMDB. Oh, oh! Now theyre playing 21 Guns, my latest favorite. Anyway, I found a couple of Billie Joe quotes on IMDB I found amusing and wanted to share: A guy walks up to me and asks, Whats Punk?. So I kick over a garbage can and say. Thats punk!. So he kicks over the garbage can and says, Thats Punk?, and I say, No thats trendy!
