Today has been a silly, funny, emotion-packed, crazy day! After several weeks of trying, I finally got the 4 Blasi Boys together so I could share the location of retirement, health, investment info; go over my will, etc. I told them that when my parents went over this info with my brother and I, my mom was terminally ill and there was a lot of emotion. I shared that I would prefer to share the info and be able to share silly stories and have fun. (Of course I got the Look AKA known as My mother is a crazy woman.) I will say, there were a number of stories and lots of teasing. Before we finished, I told the Boys that I had even started on my funeral arrangements (I really got the Yes, my mom IS REALLY CRAZY look). You see, one afternoon I had checked the obituaries online about a funeral time. I figured, what the heck! Im here. Why not type in some of my info. I worked on it quite a while - filling in family, education, etc. I was done, so I hit the submit button and was startled when a message popped up saying, ...a member of the (mortuary) will contact you soon. Panic set in, so I called the mortuary quickly. My buddy Jarrod answered, I told him what I had done, and I quickly added, Im not planning on checking out any time soon! In a very polite, professional voice he said, Thank you, Jan. there was a pause, and then he laughed. Bottom line: I think the Blasi Boys are ready to process the paperwork to have me committed!
