Today has been a very emotional day ... but damnit I finally made it!!! It is official ... Whew! Thank you God for giving me the trait of stubbornness which refuses to be defeated, the backbone to handle adversity, the persistence to keep pushing & never accept the word no, the family & friends to believe in me when I doubted myself, and most of all the character to never break a promise to a man I dearly loved & miss every day of my life. And although I have spent most of the past 12 hours crying (thank you momma, Rosemarie Slater, for the hug this morning, I didnt mean to bust in your house bawling like a baby & scare the hell out of you) for both happiness & for people no longer here to see this day come true ... there is a celebration in heaven today in my honor. This part of my journey is complete & so am I :D
