Today has truly been another hard day for my husband. His Dad is not in brilliant health. We are having to deal with social services who are trying to do their best. but also a social care service which is overloaded and cannot keep up the job they are supposed to do. At the end of our ropes. When you have to travel from Bangor to Liverpool to make sure he is safe and washed, and cared for then find he isnt really getting what you expect . It starts to drain. Its not just the journey. Its knowing that my own husband hasnt been well and yet he does this week in week out. All anyone wants is for carers not to be overloaded and care plans to be safeguarded. There is enough unemployment in the UK, SO WHY CANT THOSE DO SOME SOCIAL CARE? We need help with our elderly. Keeping them at home is not working Putting them in homes, just distresses everyone. This government needs to sort out Make services employ to the limit then those carers will not be so tired and be able to do the job they are paid for. Rant over.... Tired.
