Today, in my second (admittedly nonconsecutive) day of rising to the challenge of Facebook Positivity: I am grateful for the products that get advertising off of my computer; I think this is a major factor in my continued success at recognizing and avoiding the lunacy of debt-slavery. If you are seeing computer advertising youd like to avoid, and if you are someone I actually know who cant figure it out on your own, send me a message and I will help you get configured. Today the supermarket had the “Fun Guy” brand of mushrooms back in stock, and the label always makes me laugh. And there was really fresh really nice looking purslane. I felt lucky to have had both in an omelet of eggs from freely-ranging organically-fed hens. I am grateful that, because I know how to cook, have time and patience to do it, and have relatively inexpensive tastes, its not too hard to stretch the food budget to accommodate high-end (and humane) eggs. I am grateful that this just inspired a fond memory of my departed grandmother, who taught me to remember two Cs and two Ms in the correct spelling of accommodate by thinking of a double-occupancy hotel room with 2 double beds. Also from that wisdom bank, FYI, only A RAT can separate two lovers. (Who presumably are not taking advantage of that second bed.)
