Today in our Gospel (Mt. 26:14-25), were reflecting not just on the Passion of Christ but on the course of our being Christs disciples. Its called Spy Wednesday primarily because Judas (a suppose-to-be disciple till the end) looks for a chance to hand Jesus to the chief priests. Lets be cautious and take note of the following so as not to be like Judas the traitor: 1. KEED THE ENTHUSIASM - Judas enthusiasm since he was called dwindled and was gone, this could be a possibility to each of us, nurture Christs call to us as disciples, keep the enthusiasm. 2. STAY FOCUS - Judas was out of focus, he asked, what will you give me if I betray Jesus to you? (Mt. 26:15). Dont let anyone or anything snatch our focus on Jesus. 3. BE TRUTHFUL - Judas said, surely, Teacher, you dont mean me? (Mt. 26:25). In our sins and misgivings, admit it to ourselves, dont pinpoint to anyone or to anything for there will be no room for improvement for a person who denies. A Blessed Holy Week to all!
