Today is Brooke Mayfield and my 6th anniversary. A few things that I have learned: - I am not particularly funny - A little dishwashing can go a long way - Any mouse that shows itself in our living space will receive a similar reaction to what I imagine would be evoked by a fire breathing dragon that suddenly appeared in our kitchen - If Brooke and the kids are not all under the same roof as I am I will most likely wake up by 6:10. If they are I will be awakened by Noah before 7:10. - Brooke will, it appears, get to pass on a Southern accent to our children - I will, it appears, get to pass on my fascination with airplanes to our children - Brooke, despite telling me before our wedding that she was not much of a cook and had no intention of becoming one, is an excellent cook - I shouldnt take it personally when Brooke sits up in the middle of the night, looks over at me and calls me Mom/TJ/Dad - I will never have a set of antlers mounted inside our house. Yes, Ive whined about this before. - I should have handled my money better in my 20s - then I could have taken my bride somewhere really great on our 6th anniversary - Brooke is good at loving people with special needs and that challenges me to get over my own awkwardness - If we ever find a snake in our house I might as well just call a moving company - It is unacceptable for me to not be reachable by cell phone - My wife is a hottie. If you dont believe me just ask the dorky 11 year old I wanted to smack in Walmart last night - We will rarely agree about which parent a given child looks like - She will never understand my loathing of Richard Gere as I will never understand how she can watch The Bachelor - I need her very much
