Today is International Human Rights Day. This year’s #rights365 campaign focuses on the message that human rights are for everyday---not only for the one day set aside by the international community to mark the ‘Universal Declaration of Human Rights’. One of the most basic of all human rights is the right to basic health care; regardless of social circumstance. Unfortunately Pakistan has a long way to go in this domain. Our Child and Maternal Mortality rates are alarming! This is why, today, the Latif Kapadia Memorial Welfare Trust is declaring a Health Emergency. The time has come to act.
