Today is National Voter Registration Day! Remember October 14th - TopicsExpress

Today is National Voter Registration Day! Remember October 14th is the last day to register to vote for the Kansas general election on November 4th! Under my administration, Kansas became the first state in America to combine photo ID at the polls, with equivalent security for mail-in ballots and proof of citizenship to register. Kansas is now number one, with the strongest election security laws in the country. It’s just common sense. You need a photo ID to board a plane, cash a check, or even to buy the kind of Sudafed that works. It’s not unreasonable to require one to vote. And proof of citizenship is equally important. We need to protect this most cherished right of citizenship to ensure that only US citizens vote. You have my commitment to continue to protect U.S. citizens and the integrity of our elections by making it easy to vote, but hard to cheat.
