Today is October 10 and the Gospel is Luke 11:15-26, usccb.org/bible/readings/101014.cfm . One may be strong in their life, but it is important to remember that there are other beings that are far stronger. Satan and evil spirits can dominate ones life, Jesus tells us, overpowering even our seemingly strong resolve. The only solution is to have them cast out of our lives and then once they are gone, sweep replace their absence with the good and holy in our lives. Gods power is even stronger and with Him inhabiting us, when we can withstand the onslaught of those things we cast out when they return. Frightening to contemplate perhaps, but the joy is in knowing that our defense comes through God who loves us infinitely and will protect us with His strength.
