Today is Transgender Day of Remembrance, when we remember and honor the trans* individuals who have been killed because of anti-trans* hatred and prejudice. Trans* people face discrimination and the threat of violence nearly every day of their lives. Recently, at non-discrimination ordinance hearings across Montana, opponents have stood up and expressed the very views that often lead to deadly violence against LGBTQ individuals everywhere.
