Today is a day to give thanks...I know for many people that may be a difficult thing to do. God made us emotional people. Our emotions are like the indicator lights on our car, they tell us what is going on with our car. Our emotions tell us what is going on with our soul. And when something gets out of whack whether it is anger, depression, sadness we need to find out what is wrong. We cannot let our emotions dictate our lives...it may be understandable that you are angry but in your anger dont make a decision or act out in anger because you will regret it later. So today, a day to give thanks, I challenge you to be thankful to God no matter what is going on. Dont let anger or bitterness or depression steal from you any longer. God is good and He loves you more than you even know and when you choose to be thankful even in the midst of sorrow and difficulty, He will respond with grace and power. When you draw near to God He will draw near to you (James 4:8)...and in His presence is fullness of joy (Psalm 16:11). The key to entering His presence is thanksgiving and praise (Psalm 100:4). Do not be a prisoner of your emotions any longer...be thankful and be an overcomer! God bless you today!
