Today is a pretty difficult day. Today was the final day for the Better Box Art kickstarter campaign. It wasnt successfully funded and it was pretty clear from the response that the market was simply not interested enough in the idea for it to be sustainable. As such, Im currently in the process of shutting everything down. No worries, though. I have a number of new projects that Im working on and am excited to get them moving. The biggest thing that Im taking away from this project is a genuine awe at just how supportive my friends and family were. Its truly stunning to see just how much people cared and how everyone was willing to put in their time and their efforts and even risking putting in money to help see Better Box Art succeed. I am very grateful. I know that Im going to forget people, but I really want to take a second and thank the following people for pitching in to help: Ryan Gaston, Tom Lapp, Nichole Davis, Kyle Brennan, Travis Farris, Jenn Dell, Sulivan McBride, Frank Chiou, Sierra White, Carolyn A. Smith, Paul Iford, Christian Ransmeier, Marc Mues, Molly Pocket Shears, Derek Harris, Fred Davis, and Patrick Corrigan. Lastly, I want to say thank you to Bryan Cole for going with me on this exceptionally long ride. This is, by a wide margin, not at all where either of us thought we would end up when I met with you at Old Chicago nearly a year ago. But Im glad we did what we did and am very proud of what was accomplished. Moreover, Im happy that I got to meet a pretty rad dude in the process.
