Today is a tough day. A person I have worked with for many years, our music pastor, Moses Lugemye and his wife Erica, will lead worship at the Springs Church for the last time. The truth is, my heart deeply aches this morning, and I am certain that I am not alone, though I trust that the plan for their lives is filled with “a future and a hope.” They have been so faithful with the amazing musical talent that God has given both of them. They have lead our music ministry with great passion. In a world where having a great talent can actually make you become very self focused or self obsessed, they have always remained steadfast in their focus of honor God with the talent He has given them. There is certainly no one that can take their place. I will never forget when Moses sang Amazing Grace at my husband’s funeral. On one of the most difficult days of my life, he sang one of the most cherished and beloved hymn’s known to man, with such grace and beauty. It is seared in my mind forever. This morning, I just needed to publicly honor Moses and Erica. I need to tell you all, how amazing they both are, and how deeply loved they are, and how much their service as music ministers has affected my own life so powerfully, and many others. I need to say that they have made a difference. They will be deeply missed. I wish them God’s greatest blessings for the future. I love you both dearly Moses Lugemye and Erica Morales Lugemye
