Today is an important day. On October 31st, 496 years ago, a young monk dressed the doors of the Wittenberg chapel with 95 statements that galvanized a movement lasting until the present day. In the signature age of religious groupthink, Martin Luther challenged the societal norms and mores with principles of humility and integrity. His zeal and courage is a legacy for all who cannot merely sit at the bedside of a languishing faith, watching it ravaged by the diseases of hypocrisy, ignorance, and apathy. His avant-garde attitude reminds and compels us to question the status quo, however prevalent, and plunge ever deeper into thoughtful study of the word.
