Today is an incredibly sad ending of an era. Christy Bennie, who has been my manager for the past 2 years and volunteered at KPH for about 4 before that, has retired. She has made such a difference to so many lives at the sanctuary and stood by us in such trying times that as much as we wish her well in her new endeavours, we are very sad and she will be sorely missed. Christy, I thank you for your loyalty and dedication, for your commitment and strength, and for helping us to have achieved so much. KPH will always be a part of you, and you a part of it. I wish you only health, happiness and success. Sam and the team!
