Today is another day, another day filled and surrounded by animals that had no chance and have one now. So, I cant and I wont let Moons passing get me too down. Mark A. DeBoer, I needed that. I know it, I know it well and have even taught myself and have tried to teach my employees to look past the heartbreaking but I think her death was so the very last thing in this world I expected. When I raise them from very very young like that and they become literally like a child to me, I can let them go to new families because my job is done, I have taught myself to be able to do that, but when they leave like this with no explanation........shocked me to say the least and broke my heart. She was the first infant ever that we managed to save for this long, she was exactly 7 weeks old yesterday, to die for no reason and she was so close to going to a new home. This one is a first. All the other dozens and dozens of infants that I have raised from a dying sick infant are now in loving homes. I so was wishing for that for Moon. BUT, I believe that what killed her brothers and sisters at two days old is what got her too. I believe she was living on borrowed time that we gave her because of the close attention, basically life support she was given. Like my boys told me last night, I cant let the unknown ruin me. There was absolutely nothing wrong with her, she was happy and healthy that same morning. Now time to keep going. Im still heart broken, extremely heart broken and still in shock. I will have to get through a whole bunch of first without her before I will really be able to get over it. This morning was the first morning that she didnt wake me up to go out to go pee at 4 am, Im not looking forward to the car ride to work without her and it wont be the same at work without her to go and see and play with when I am feeling stressed or upset. All I can hope for is it may help me in the future be even stronger, I hope. Thank you for all your words and I hope you all have a good day!
