Today is going to be an interesting day, to say the least. For the past six weeks I have worked six days a week for the Salvation Army as a kettle coordinator. I came into this position with postpartum depression and against the will of my husband. I had prayed to get the job and knew at the interview that I needed it and they needed me. During this six weeks, my husband has grown to appreciate me more as I have grown to appreciate my home and family more. My postpartum depression has gone away and I feel re-energized and grateful to be able to come home and take care of my family. Today, Christmas Eve, is the last day of sending out ringers. When you see them, know that many of them have worked consistently through the last six weeks and that theres somebody whose life has been changed for the better because they work so hard.
