Today is my last official day as a Vice President, Sales in National Accounts for CUNA Mutual Group. For more than seven years I labored hard to positively represent my company and myself in the best light. I will be moving back to Utah to pursue another path in my professional career. Through my team and my credit union clients--great things were accomplished: Mark Miller and Van Layman helped to retain every single bond and acquire new bond relationships from troubled accounts. 175 for 175. Kelly Adamson and Bob Farrell helped preserve all relationships and acquire many new ones. Barbara Towe MacNeil, Heather Reeves, Tammy Walker, Tammy Moon Hook, Brooke Thomas Martin, and Richard Walter all contributed to our lending success. Arlene Erickson and Kim Cook patiently worked with me through my flight of thought as my mind raced at light speed which sometimes proved challenging for them. But as blessed as I was with strong internal team members, I was even more enriched by the credit union clients I served. Sometimes change is forced upon you. It is how you traverse the transition that makes you stronger. I am the individual that I am and Im sure somewhere along the way a new opportunity will come my way. May prosperity and goodwill find each of you that call the credit union industry home. --Gary Lee
