Today is officially the start of a new beginning, times have been rough and others eventful...these past four years have flown by so fast and I am in disbelief that it is already coming to the end. The Corps has taught me more than I have ever thought possible. I have had the opportunity to work with some amazing people and was blessed to be mentored by only the best. Thank you to MSgt Aaron F Strang for teaching me not only my job from day one but how to be a leader and keep a level head through it all. And of course Cassie Acinelli for having my back when my feet first hit the ground, Brice Thomas II for always having my back whether it was cadences or movements, Marie Ross and Scott Ponton for keeping me sane in Afghanistan, Msgt Richard Van Eycke for never letting me live down my lack of ability to drill, GySgt Bill Baffa for always having an open ear and keeping us all motivated, Steven Patrick Taroma for keeping things real and never dull, Austin White for not only being a great Marine but an awesome friend, Franco Michael for always being a smart ass and keeping the days light, SSgt Sean Clare for always making the days in the office fun and eventful and Niewola Soares Julie for helping me through so much and keeping me grounded throughout my short visit to VMX. Thank you to everyone else who has been there for me and helped me hold my head high and impacted my life and career in some way, there are more than possible to name but you know who you are. A special thank you to my family Debra Gluck-Vitale, Joanne Gluck, Chuck Vitale, Doreen Gluck Platt, Terry Platt, Shawna Platt Platt, Keenan Platt, Brittany Fay, Kayla Baker, and Zach Voice for always pushing me to be my best and supporting me in all my decisions. I am truly lucky to have met the people I did and experience all that the Marine Corps has offered me. Thank you again! Semper Fi!
