Goddess Wisdom joyous remembrance of worship and warm greetings on the occasion and all friends mother Sarsvati आज बसंत-पंचमी है. ज्ञान की देवी माँ सरस्वती के पूजन-अर्चन का पावन दिवस. वैसे तो बसंत-पंचमी पर सभी जगह माँ सरस्वती का पूजन-उत्सव बहुत उत्साह-पूर्वक मनाया जाता है, किन्तु मध्य प्रदेश के धार नगर में इस दिन का विशेष महत्त्व है. दसवीं शताब्दी में यह धार नगर विद्याव्यसनी प्रकांड विद्वान महाराजा भोज की धारा नगरी के रूप में विख्यात था. महाराज भोज ने यहाँ उच्च शिक्षा के लिए सर्वसाधन युक्त शारदा सदन का निर्माण किया था, जिसे भारती भवन, सरस्वती कंठाभरण तथा बाद में भोज शाला के नाम से अभिहित किया गया था. तत्कालीन समय में यहाँ शिक्षा के साथ-साथ विद्वानों की गोष्ठी, विद्या-विनोद तथा विद्वत-सभाएँ होती थीं, जिसकी अध्यक्षता स्वयं राजा भोज करते थे. भोज शाला में वाग्देवी ( माँ सरस्वती ) की एक बहुत मनभावन सुन्दर प्रतिमा थी , जो आजकल लंदन के पुरातत्व संग्रहालय में संग्रहित है. धार के प्रसिद्ध इतिहास और पुरातत्वविद डॉ. वाकणकर जी जब वहाँ गए थे, तब वे इसका चित्र छायांकित कर लाए थे. वह चित्र उन्होंने धार के प्रसिद्ध शिल्प-संस्थान फड़के स्टुडियो के शिल्पज्ञ देव और मेहुणकर बंधुओं को दिया था. सन 1992 में जब धार में अखिल भारतीय स्तर पर शालेय खेलकूद स्पर्धा का आयोजन किया गया था, तब मैंने अपने संपादन में प्रकाशित स्मारिका में फड़के स्टुडियो के सौजन्य से प्राप्त माँ वाग्देवी का यह दुर्लभ चित्र पहली बार प्रकाशित किया था, उसके बाद यह चित्र बहुत लोकप्रिय और चर्चित हुआ और माँ वाग्देवी की प्रतिमा इंग्लैंड से वापस भारत लाने की मांग और जोर पकड़ने लगी. आज धार नगर की भोजशाला में माँ वाग्देवी पूजन-उत्सव परम्परानुसार बहुत उत्साह से मनाया जा रहा है. माँ वाग्देवी के पूजन के पावन-स्मरण अवसर पर आप सभी मित्रो और स्नेहियों का हार्दिक अभिनन्दन और माँ वाग्देवी को कोटिशः प्रणिपात ......
