Today is the anniversary of a very important day in my life. 27 years ago today Bill Osborne had a first date with Cheryl Duff. We met for brunch at the Cherie Inn and I thought it went well, she was underwhelmed. No sparks, no magic. 9 years of dating with ups and downs and time outs. Now we are coming up on 18 yrs. of marriage and our relationships path reinforces my belief that God does have a plan for our lives even if we dont understand it at times. Mom used to say that things happen for a reason and usually work out for the best. Cheryl has been and continues to be the source of the happiness that I have in my life, the reason that I have 2 beautiful wonderful wacky daughters, the reason I have the joy of family life and fatherhood. As I get older I understand that time is fleeting and that I need to value each day and the people in my life. Cheryl, you are loved more than you will ever know and unfortunately for you are married to an Osborne man who is not known for expressing our feelings easily. I am a very lucky man. Glad you accepted a 2nd date. Bill
