Today is the anniversary of the fateful day when a few men decided to spit in the face of tyranny and ultimately change the overall psyche of an entire nation because its people were tired of being spat upon from a chair that claimed itself almighty. A day that is supposed to remind us that life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are the principles that founded a nation of patriots that continued to fight for those freedoms for centuries. The motto has since been replaced with stupidity, intolerance, and the pursuit of cheetos. But lets use this day to remind ourselves what we were meant to do in times of tyranny. Let us beg the masses to reclaim the voice that once made our nation the template for free-thinking and self-governing peoples. Times have changed, but the voice of an entire nation is still something nearly impossible to ignore. Happy Independence Day. Be safe and remember why this day exists.
