Today is the first day following vocal surgery that Im supposed to begin light talking...only 5 minutes for the entire day. Tomorrow is 10 minutes, next day is 20 and so on. Every day I gradually build up until I reach normal amounts. Im told to be very cautious and to take a step back if my voice fatigues or starts sounding different. I obviously wasnt able to say everything I wanted to in the video so I figured Id write everything else here. Also, my heart was racing while filming this because talking feels a bit foreign and scares me for some reason. Hopefully I dont seem too nervous! Ive been doing a lot of steam inhaling, water/tea drinking and trying to relax as much as possible. Just taking things one day at a time. So far its been absolutely boring but necessary. By the way, if anyone hears of any good foods/herbs/remedies for vocal cord cysts let me know (just tweet me). Im trying to do everything I can to optimize healing! Anyway, I cant say enough how much I appreciate all of you and your prayers and encouragement. Please continue to pray and send positive vibes that this cyst would go away from the laser surgery! The worst part about this is that I wont know for sure until like a month from now but Im trying not to dwell on that too much. And fortunately I have super cool family, friends and you guys to keep me positive if I start feeling down! Okay so theres the update. Hope youre all having a wonderful day!
