Today is the last day of the reign of the Legacy Crowns in California. We will also find out will be getting the very LAST TWO of the original Miss California USA Legacy Crown Rings. Once the last ones are made, Ive vowed to never make these two particular ring designs ever again to ensure their limited, historical rarity and to enhance their collectibility over time. Each one of these rings will be tied into a special titleholders year and with their own unique story. Some interesting facts about the rings- Nicole and Emma have the first rings that are considered in the collectors world very special. Alyssas ring has a reddish-orange sapphire which sets it a part as she won Miss USA. Shanna also has a unique variation that is pink sapphire. Both Shanna and Keylee both the only non-CA USA titleholders that got rings. Reason they got rings is because their were both CA director plus former national titleholders. Shanna being Miss USA and Keylee being Miss Teen USA. All the rings have CAUSA on the back, except two. Nicole and Katie Blairs rings have 888 on the back which is a good luck symbol. You can ask them to show you. There is a long-story on how the 888 got there. Its spaced to look like infinity symbols. Katies ring is one of the smallest finger sizes, and originally, we made the ring for my mom, Connie. We loved Katies so much, we surprised Katie with her ring on her birthday. Hers has 888 on it just like Nicoles. It was such a fun night! The Miss CA Teen Legacy Rings are the same with no variations except the finger size. Most of the Legacy Teen Crown Rings are a size 5 or 6. Cassidy Wolfs ring appeared on TV and print a lot when she became Miss Teen USA. And because she never takes her ring off! One small yellow diamond is missing. I told Cassidy that I will fix it, but she refuses to let me have the ring for 1 day! That always tickles me knowing how much she loves her ring. There are a set in size 8 which are extra big for a museum display case. There will one set for the family. There is also a male version of the ring with Legacy Teen Crown belonging to Keith Lewis. His ring has the Legacy Teen Crown design on the top with a purple sapphire hidden inside the ring on the bottom ring shank. Purple the symbol of the gay community which he and I both belong to. And their are purple sapphires that are set near the ears of the Miss California Teen USA legacy crowns to hear the voices of the young gay kids who lost their lives to suicide. It always reminds us to speak on their behalf. They no longer have a voice on this earth, but it reminds us to continue to do so. And sapphire because sapphire is about family to me and because I already thought of Keith as an brother guide in my life. Im planning to make the other male Miss Legacy crown ring for myself eventually. It will also have a small purple sapphire set in it as well. People already comment that I dont wear any jewelry. Well... I think its time to make myself a ring to commemorate an end of an era. This time is mixed with a lot of emotions -happiness, sadness, pride and all the amazing things those crowns did to inspire. And each wearer of the Legacy crown and each keeper of the rings means a lot to me and marks a special year in my life with lots of memories. In time, I think the rings coming up for sale for auction. And I believe their value will appreciate over time like all pieces of art and collectors pieces with stories. I can only imagine what the auction conductor will say about the rings to the potential buyers of the rings and when they show all of the photos tied to the crowns and rings. Before those rings were made, my rights as a gay person was limited with CA Prop 8. But with the help of a lot of amazing people, so much has changed for the better. For civil rights and freedoms for all. And the pageant world has changed too. And the heart in each of the center symbolized my hope for love at the center of it all. For myself, for my community, and for all of those around me. The last Legacy Crown rings of these particular designs will be made for the 2015 CA titleholders. They symbolized everything I hope for, pray for and wished for. And I feel so lucky to be able to say... That was my work. I feel God helped me make a difference in peoples lives with gold, sapphire and diamonds, love, hopes and dreams as my canvas. The Legacy Crowns reign is near... In just a few more hours... Cassie and Bianca will be the last CA USA titleholders to have had officially worn the crowns. But the stories will live on... And thats what I wanted most. The story to continue to be told and re-told. So, I know now my prayers on a Easter Sunday Western Wall 2009 for all people who are different, and often times misunderstood, are treated with kindness and respect. Its good to pray, because I know that prayers do come true. ❤️🙏👸😃☀️
