Today is the national celebration of the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. I have not yet been able to discover any photographs of dinnerware used by his family, or his congregations. I did not even find any informal photos of him sharing a meal with others, which might have included identifiable pottery. It seems likely that East Liverpool area pottery would have been identified in such photos. I had hoped to find these so as to provide an unusual connection between this great man whose legacy is still bearing fruit, and the most mundane of household objects.
