Today it has been 40 years that my soul has been exploring, learning and progressing in a creative partnership with this physical avatar. It has been an amazing and rewarding journey, full of exciting discoveries, and cherished deep connections with other souls sharing the path with me. Some of the most significant lessons I have learned: My happiness is my responsibility - when I stopped waiting for someone or something outside of myself to create happiness inside me, my life changed in ways that would take too long to explain here. If you are looking for happiness get out a mirror, not binoculars. You are responsible for your connection to your Creator - If some belief system or practice is creating walls and separation between you and your creator, change it. Many of them are someones best guess and intention to find understanding and are not necessarily eternal truth. Your commitment to Happiness, Wholeness, Integrity, Truth and Correct Principles should always be bigger than your commitment to any belief system or worship practice. Seek out and adopt practices that create connection with the creator and wholeness in you. Our Bodies are amazing gifts, designed to support us in ways we are still discovering. - Take care of your body. Love your body and it will serve you for a long healthy time. Feed it the best, cleanest nutrition you can, exercise it regularly, nurture and rest it in gentle loving ways. Always lead with appreciation - seeing amazing things everywhere you look is a choice. Look for the magic in life and live in gratitude for it. Talk about it and share it with others until they see the magic. There are no neutral exchanges - every interaction you have can give life and light to yourself and others or take it. Be intentional in your interactions and give life. Smile, remember to say the kind thoughts you have, have conversations that lift. The world needs more life and light. Be a source of light. People are amazing - Everyone has a story, a sequence of events that brought them where they are today. All of them have a gift or lesson to be learned from their adventure. Never discount them because their path was different then yours. Look for the gift they found on that path and it will become your gift as well. One of the most fulfilling experiences in this life, is to experience genuine connection and understanding with another person and you can choose to create this anytime. We dont want what we think we want - we want the feeling we think having those things will give us. We can create the feelings inside of us just by choosing to feel the way we want to feel. If you think new clothes are going to make you feel happy about how you look, choose to feel happy about how you look anyway. My intention is that 40 years from now I will have learned a bunch more and will have shared it with my kids and grandkids how amazing this life is, and have helped to raise the happiness meter in this world.
