Today it was a little more special as one of my guests was celebrating their birthday and such a stunning autumn day. I decided to change the tour around a little to incorporate some of our beautiful old forests of the south. We started on the Mountain and then ventured down through to the Huon Valley. As their main objective of this tour was the East Coast, I decided to give them a few different options for today so they could experience some of the Huon Trail. They thoroughly enjoyed their walk out on the Tahune Airwalk and wanting a few pieces of our beautiful woodwork, we called into a few art and craft stores, and found what they liked at the Enchanted Forest at Castle Forbes just south of Huonville. Here they have beautiful Tasmanian timbers, such as Huon Pine, Black Heart Sassafras, Myrtle and Blackwood. This is a little gem and a must when visiting this area. Tomorrow its the East Coast....we will see how the weather goes, finger crossed..
