Today marks exactly 7 years since the first Sub.mission with Nick - TopicsExpress

Today marks exactly 7 years since the first Sub.mission with Nick Argon. I knew from that show that Dubstep would have a special home in denver. There is something about the vibe here that has never changed and only gotten stronger as the years have passed. In 2008, I had my first proper experience, much like Saturday night. It changed my life. I knew from that moment on that that feeling needed to be shared with as many people as I possible could. Our .mission is to move people thru sound, not hype. As the years went on, the scene started changing, more people knew what Dubstep was and wanted to see more than what we were bringing to the city. It was than I realized that this was no longer a hobby and more my role here in the beautiful city. He expansion of Dubstep mesnt change, something that is inevitable. Change is scary for some but for Sub.mission and my amazing team, it meant movement. It meant taking the opportunity to expose new ears to the sounds that move our souls. We took that challenge head on. Throughout those years, I had to chance to watch people grow up in the scene. I watched them strap in for their musical journey. We were able to move people towards our sound, we were able to build something stronger than ever before with people who loved it as much as we did. That is my favorite thing about this opportunity: I continue to to filled up with energy, love, passion and desire from strangers- people who become friends and all of you. I cant thank my crew, the Denver steppers, whomp truck and the many venues who have supported us over the years. Its an emotional thing to watch your baby grow up, its even trippier watching exactly what you have worked so hard to see happen actually happen. Its surreal. I think I must of hit up Mala Dmz 8 months ago to sort the 7. I knew what I wanted and he helped make it possible. We hit road bumps along the way but pure determination and love wouldnt let those stop us. I want to thank all the artists, staff and everyone who attended. Huge thanks to all the out of town guests who made the journey, I wish I could of hugged you all but I was emotional and immersed deeply into the magic of the evening. Thanks to all of you, my dream did come true and you all being a part of it made it something I will never ever be able to forget. This industry is a selfless place and with the support of steppers around the world, I know we can make a difference. Im leaving on vacation today and plan to use this time to reflect on the past 7 years of memories and the absolute abundance of emotions Sub.mission has brought me over the years and for that, once again, I thank you.
