Today marks my one year anniversary of leaving the pastorate and entering into disability because of my cancer. This past year, though, has been perhaps my most enjoyable and fruitful year of ministry. In the past twelve months I have had the opportunity to guest preach at churches all across the state, to serve as a parish associate with First Presbyterian in Huntington and receive a great deal of encouragement and support from the members there, and, most of all, to have the great joy of participating in the ministry of the Cabwaylingo Presbyterian Chapel, where I have been able to help lead youth programs for some super terrific kids, assist with work camp groups, and develop a friendship with Bill and Addie Likens. Even in the midst of cancer, God has been good to me!
