Today marks the beginning of Breast Cancer awareness month. Instead of participating in those stupid little games like posting the color of your bra/underwear or your purse or posting random pictures to promote awareness Here, from an actual breast cancer survivor, is a better idea. Take care of yourself, get your exams and yes men, this means you. You can get this too. Women, get your mammograms, check yourself every month and men, learn how to do a self exam and if you detect any changes no matter how minor they seem to be... go see a doctor asap. And donate to the American Cancer society. Encorage those you love to take care of themselves and donate to help low income women get the exams they need. Those are far more productive than just passing some chain status or crap on FB. And please leave me out of those games. I have scars on my chest that remind me of the disease that I defeated all too well.
