Today marks the end of carers week and we would like to point your attention to those siblings of people with rare disorders that restrict diets and food intake. An example of this is the rare genetic disorder PKU. Phenylketonuria or PKU is a very serious disorder that is diagnosed in about 1 in every 10,000-14,000 people in Australia. Siblings of people with PKU have very important roles in making sure that their brother or sister doesnt eat anything that they shouldnt and we are very inspired by the siblings of people with this disorder. Our hats go off to you all!! Check out: pkuconnect.au/ for more information about PKU and other Metabolic Dietary Disorders and dont forget to Beware before you share
